American journalist Elizabeth Jane Cochran Seaman, or “Nellie Bly” is famous for breaking records when she traveled around the world in 72 days and for exposing mental institutions.

Bly was one of the pioneers in her occupation and through her hard work, launched an entirely new form of investigative journalism.
