Meteorologist Nelly Carreño has left NBCUniversal's New England Cable News in Boston, New England One has learned.

Nelly had been the mid-day meteorologist for the station, and also appeared on Telemundo Boston.

"I knew this day would come but it doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier" Nelly said on her Instagram page.

"Six years ago I arrived in Boston without knowing ONE single person & will leave loving so many wonderful people here. This was my last week at NECN.
